Summer 2024 opening dates for northwest Ohio pools
LUCAS COUNTY, Ohio — With summer just around the corner, and schools letting out for the year, many pools across northwest Ohio are preparing to reopen for the season, while others already accepted swimmers over the holiday weekend. Here are the reopening dates for several area pools, including additional information about each pool you need to know. Please note that while each pool is listed with their daily pass cost, some pools also offer season passes.
Who picked up at-large entries to the Ohio high school track and field state meet?
Once all 12 high school regional track and field meets are completed in Ohio, the process of determining at-large entries to the state meet begins. The top four finishers in each event gain automatic spots in the state meet, which will take place Thursday through Saturday at Dayton’s Welcome Stadium. In addition, the next two best performances in each event statewide gain spots in Dayton. Heat sheets for the state meet were posted Sunday. Southwest Ohio track and field athletes who made their mark at the 2024 regional meets
There is just one week left in the Ohio high school track and field season. The competition was whittled down over the weekend as the Division I regional meet was held at Dayton's Welcome Stadium, the site of next weekend's state meet. The Division II meet wrapped up on Saturday at Piqua High School.
