Shortly after we surprised Melanie Kohley at Jeffers Elementary School in Spring Lake, she said she was, “Just completely shocked. I had no idea this was coming but very grateful and appreciative. He won by a 20-point spread. That’s the good news. Let us hope Ebel’s ouster is a bellwether for the rest of the group in November.
Mona Shores High School hires new director of choirs ahead of current directors' retirement
NORTON SHORES, Mich. — Mona Shores High School Choir Directors Shawn and Molly Lawton have announced they'll be retiring at the end of the 2024-25 school year. Known for "America's Tallest Singing Christmas Tree" concerts and busy with the Allegros Musical, Pop Go the Sailors and both national and international travel, the Lawtons are leaving behind a well-renowned program.
