Cloudcroft Light Opera Company presents Sweeney Todd Free in the Mountains
The Cloudcroft Light Opera Company is presenting a free show May 24th, 25th and 26th, 31st and June 1st at the Cloudcroft Pavilion. The troupe is an all volunteer, non-profit, 501(c)3 acting group organized to provide family-oriented entertainment to locals and visitors to Cloudcroft, the Sacramento Mountains and the Tularosa Basin.

Otero Arts is celebrating the 87th anniversary of the opening of the Alamogordo Women’s Club during May at Otero Artspace. In 2019, Otero Arts leased the historic building, constructed by the Works Progress Administration (WPA) at 1118 Indiana Ave. in Alamogordo, and has been holding monthly art exhibitions as well as concerts, workshops, literary events, and community meetings at the venue, now known as Otero Artspace.

The English and literature departments at all the different levels of public schools with the Alamogordo Public Schools system have been heavily focused this year on literacy and application of the English language into writing skills.
