Road Warrior: Work starts on I-75's Road 99 interchange with ramp detour first up
FINDLAY — Work starts this week on the Ohio Department of Transportation’s reconstruction of I-75’s Hancock County Road 99 interchange into a diverging diamond layout, with a short-term ramp detour starting Wednesday. The Road 99 entrance to southbound I-75 will be closed for three days. Traffic will be directed onto northbound I-75 all the way to State Rt. 18 near North Baltimore and then back on southbound I-75. Next week, Main Street will be closed on the north side of Road 99 for project-related work. A detour will use County Roads 99, 18, and 215. June 3 will also mark the start of pier construction for the first of two new bridges at the interchange. The left lane on I-75 will close in both directions. Once the first bridge opens, the existing bridge will be torn down and replaced.
