Why this entire apartment building was moved through downtown Findlay
FINDLAY, Ohio — For anyone who has had to experience moving, it can be a hassle. Now imagine moving an entire building across town. There was a little traffic congestion Tuesday morning in downtown Findlay, as what likely is the biggest wide load the city has ever seen made its slow crawl through the streets.
Inventory, mortgage rates cool northwest Ohio housing market
The beginning of the year is always slow when it comes to sales in the housing market, but this year was particularly so, northwest Ohio Realtors report. Northwest Ohio home sales are down 23 percent compared to last January. The report featured 10 counties including Lucas, Wood, Defiance, Henry, Hancock, Paulding, Wyandot, Putnam, Williams, and Fulton counties. The same trend has been seen across the country, and while there are multiple factors, local real estate agents believe the main culprits are the lack of houses on the market and fluctuating mortgage rates.
