Tallahassee Volleyball Academy wins AAU Junior National Championship with 10 local players

Tallahassee volleyball stands alone.

Competing in the AAU Junior National Volleyball Championships in Orlando, Tallahassee Volleyball Academy (TVA) went undefeated (14-0), losing just one set all tournament, en route to a dominant U17 National Title victory on Friday, June 28.

Led by a team of 10 local preps standouts that include players from Chiles, Leon, Florida High, Maclay and Lincoln, the team faced Ultimate Performance Club out of Oklahoma, winning in two sets (25-23, 25-20) to claim the honor of National Champion.

The only set loss came against Michigan's FaR Out 17 Gold, who claimed a 25-22 second set victory before TVA won in three sets.

The TVA's U18 team also competed at the Junior National Volleyball Championships, placing third.

The AAU Junior National Volleyball Championship is one of the largest organized volleyball tournaments in the world, with over 4,600 teams from across the country competing at various levels for a national title.

TVA is a local volleyball academy that offers development for players aged five to 18 and it was founded by Kensy Boulware and former Florida State football linebacker Peter Boulware.
