Tallahassee firefighters battle 'multiple small structure' blazes in Woodville area

Tallahassee firefighters had to knock down blazes in what they called "multiple small structures" along South Maxwell Boulevard early Sunday, the Tallahassee Fire Department said in a news release.

Crews were dispatched shortly after midnight to what was reported as a possible structure fire, the release said. Upon arrival, they found "heavy fire coming from multiple small structures."

No one was inside any of the buildings and the cause of the fires is under investigation. The Leon County Sheriff’s Office, Leon County EMS, City of Tallahassee Utilities and Woodville Volunteer Fire Department assisted.

South Maxwell Boulevard is just off Woodville Highway, less than a mile north of Capital Circle.
