BORDENTOWN CITY, NJ — One of the most popular events to take place in Bordentown City is happening this weekend.

The Bordentown Historical Society's 2024 History in Bloom Garden Tour will take place on Saturday, June 1, from 11AM to 4PM, with a rain date of Sunday, June 2. The starting point for the self-guided tour is the Friends Meeting House, located at 302 Farnsworth Avenue, where attendees can pick up their Garden Tour Brochures and Maps.

Those familiar with the Garden Tour may recognize that this year's event will take place earlier than in years' past — according to the BHS, the decision was made in hopes that the weather will be more cooperative in early June as opposed to later in the month, when the Tour is traditionally held.

The popular event — which is one of the Historical Society's biggest fundraisers of the year — will feature 17 spectacular gardens, 13 of which are private, live music, plein air painters and yard art, and many of the participating homes will also offer refreshments.

The Clara Barton Schoolhouse will also be open to attendees of the Garden Tour from 12PM to 4PM.

Tickets are $22 for adult non-members of the BHS; $20 for adult members of the BHS; and $10 for children ages 8 to 16. Kids under 8 are free.
