House Call: Vehicle Slams into Somers Home

SOMERS, N.Y. - On Aug. 14, Members of the Somers Volunteer Fire Department and EMS units raced to a home on Muscoot River Road after receiving reports that a car had crashed into a residence.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., units arrived to find the vehicle had collided with the structure’s garage, and the driver was treated for non-life treating injuries and transported to a local hospital.

Further investigation revealed that the home is still under construction and was unoccupied at the time of the crash.

The SVFD was assisted at the scene by members of the New York State Police, Somers Police Department, and Somers Building Department.
