    Tatum High School announces new principal

    TATUM, Texas ( KETK ) – Tatum High School students will be entering the coming school year with a new principal, the district announced on Monday.

    According to a release, Sheri Hopkins, who has been the middle school principal and assistant principal at the high school, will take on her new role in the fall.

    Hopkins said she brings with her 18 years of education experience that began as a substitute teacher at Hallsville High School. She received a bachelor’s from Texas A&M University – Texarkana and a Master’s in Educational Leadership, a release said.

    “I am truly excited to embark on this journey with all of you and look forward to continuing the long-standing tradition of excellence that the Tatum community expects,” Hopkins said. “I hope you have a wonderful, relaxing summer and I look forward to seeing everyone in the fall.”
