Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark had the best month of her WNBA career heading into the All-Star and Olympic break.

She earned the title of Rookie of the Month for July after becoming the first rookie in WNBA history to record a triple-double, breaking the WNBA record for most assists in a single game (19) and recording the most double-doubles (9) by rookie guard in league history.

While Clark faces serious competition with Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese to become the WNBA's Rookie of the Year, her recent production on the court is unparalleled.

While in Phoenix for the WNBA All-Star game, ESPN analyst Andraya Carter gave Clark "nothing short of an A" grade for the first half of the season and said she's "separated" herself in the race for Rookie of the Year. However, Carter stopped short of using one word to describe Clark's hold on the esteemed award.

When fellow analyst Cassidy Hubbarth asked if Clark has already "solidified" herself as Rookie of the Year, Carter refused to take the bait.

"'Solidified' is the word that I'm just a little hung up there, Cass," she answered. "You can't get me stuck on that word, 'solidified' because there is still a second half of the season. But I will say Caitlin has separated herself."

"Caitlin's last 10 games, averaging 18 points, 14 assists, 6 rebounds, that is incredible," the former Tennessee guard continued . "Those are MVP-like numbers. Of course, (Las Vegas Aces center) A'ja Wilson is running away with the MVP. I might say (Wilson) solidified that award."

Going back to Clark, "I mentioned those last 10 games," Carter continued, (because) if you subtract Caitlin's turnovers from her assists... she still leads the league in assists, which is where the separation comes in for me with Caitlin ask Rookie of the Year."
