I sampled their well-known Sliced Brisket while there. The brisket was really tender, expertly smoked, and had a taste all by itself that made extra BBQ sauce practically superfluous. A very filling dinner was delivered with generous portions of crunchy coleslaw and chunky potato salad. Despite being new, Irene's BBQ has already established itself as Stamford's favorite place to get real Texas BBQ. Its appeal is enhanced by the reasonable costs and kind staff.
