Boyle County will host its Waste Tire Collection event on Sept. 12, 13 and 14 at the State Highway Garage at 331 North Stewart’s Lane. This event happens only once every three years.

    Hours will be 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 13, and from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the 14th.

The facility will accept tires on and off the rim, for passenger, truck, tractor trailer, farm implement, ATV, motorcycle and bicycle tires.

Things that are not accepted are foam or calcium filled tires, rubber tracks, off road construction (OTR), solid tires, and no tires with a bead greater than 1 and 3/4 inch.

Boyle County residents can bring tires in, but no tire retailers, no salvage yards or out of state residents can participate.

Boyle County Solid Waste and Recycling Director Angie Muncy is coordinating this event. For questions, people can email angela.muncy@boylecountyky.gov.
