South Bend, Indiana — Monday’s hockey game at the Ice Box wasn’t just about competition on the ice—it was about rallying the community behind a shared vision for the future. Teams from Crowe LLP and Steel Warehouse faced off in a spirited match, not just for bragging rights but to raise crucial funds for the much-needed renovations at the Ice Box, including the addition of a third sheet of ice.

This renovation project aims to strengthen South Bend’s position as a hub for youth hockey in the Midwest. The expanded facility will provide more opportunities for local youth to engage in the sport, while also attracting new business to the area.

"This area is a hub for youth hockey in the Midwest, and the third rink of ice is going to bring a lot of business to the area and really support the community," said William Knibloe of Crowe LLP. "We're super happy to support it, and who knows, maybe we make this an annual thing."

Backing up their commitment with action, Crowe LLP made a generous $25,000 donation toward the renovations. The event also underscored the company's dedication to health and wellness, youth sports, and community development—a mission shared by many in the community.

As the Ice Box prepares for its next chapter, the support from this game and similar efforts will be key to ensuring it continues to serve as a vital resource for South Bend and the broader region.
