Hoffman landfill hosts free disposal day for Lucas County residents

Lucas County residents can drop off bulky solid waste items for disposal for free at the Hoffman Road Landfill on Saturday.

Located at 3962 Hoffman Rd. in North Toledo, the dump will be accepting excess trash, furniture, carpeting, mattresses, wood waste, and scrap metal from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Items not accepted include yard waste, chemicals, paint, asbestos, and items containing Freon.

People must enter via Manhattan Boulevard and must present a valid state ID to prove residency. People will have to unload their vehicle themselves. No assistance will be provided.
