GALAX — Yesterday, Twin County Regional Healthcare (TCRH) met with Tri-Area Community Health to discuss ways to better serve the community, improve health outcomes, and improve the overall well-being of people in Grayson County, Carroll County, the City of Galax, and surrounding communities.

“We appreciated the opportunity to meet with the Twin County Team,” said James Werth, Jr., Chief Executive Officer of Tri-Area Community Health. “I think it was a great chance to share information and continue building the relationship between Tri-Area and the hospital and their related practices. I look forward to continuing to strengthen our connection so we can help as many people as possible and improve the health of the entire area.”

“Twin County Regional Healthcare opens its doors to everyone who needs care,” said Sudandra Ratnasamy, Chief Executive Officer of Twin County Regional Healthcare. “Having a seat at the table with other community partners such as Tri-Area, allows us to improve and sustain the health of those in the communities we serve.”

Twin County Regional Healthcare initiates a Community Health Needs Assessment every three years. This process is an affirmation of what TCRH does to improve health in its community and an outline of what needs to be addressed in the future. “Working relationships with our community partners such as Tri-Area is just another resource that can help improve the health of the community and broaden access to care for those who live and work in our area,” said Ratnasamy.
