    Vote for top Mississippi defensive lineman entering 2024 MHSAA, MAIS high school football season

    Who is Mississippi's defensive lineman entering the 2024 high school football season? MHSAA and MAIS football fans can decide which high school defensive lineman is the best in Mississippi. Now it's your turn to vote.

    Fans can vote once per hour per device. The poll closes at noon on Saturday.

    Ronnie Blossom, Warren Central: Blossom had 88 tackles with 59 solos, 23 tackles for loss, two fumble recoveries and two sacks last season.

    Maurice Edwards, Leflore County: Edwards recorded 46 total tackles with 9.5 sacks, 18 tackles for loss, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries last season.

    Justin Foster, Hattiesburg: Foster, a three-star recruit according to 247Sports, has offers from Jackson State, Wright State, Southern and UT Martin.

    Curtis Gentry, Madison-Ridgeland Academy: Gentry recorded 50 tackles with 12 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and two quarterback hurries last season.

    Anthony Hopson, Neshoba Central: Hopson had 93 total tackles with 45 solos, 7.5 tackles for loss, three sacks and three fumble recoveries last season.

    Kenzavius Lundy, Simmons: Lundy recorded 54 tackles, six tackles for loss, 10.5 sacks and one interception last season.

    Andrew Maddox, Oak Grove: Maddox , an Ole Miss commit and the state's No. 7 recruit, helped lead Oak Grove to the MHSAA 7A state title last season with 99 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, and two sacks.

    JaReylan McCoy, Tupelo: The four-star recruit and No. 3 in the state produced 50 tackles, 6.5 sacks, 13.5 tackles for loss and three forced fumbles with four recovered last season. McCoy has offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Penn State, Kentucky, Utah and Auburn.

    Travon McDonald, Louisville: McDonald produced 88 tackles and 16 sacks last season. He also had 23 tackles for loss with three fumble recoveries.

    Kevin Oatis, Hattiesburg: Oats, a four-star recruit and No. 10 prospect in the state, has drawn interest from many Power Four programs, including Alabama, Texas, Michigan, Ole Miss and Mississippi State.

    Jarques Perry, Grenada: Perry recorded 15 sacks with 20 tackles for loss, 81 total tackles and six forced fumbles, helping Grenada to the MHSAA 6A state final last season.

    Dalyn Pierce, Bay Springs: Pierce produced 78 total tackles with 22 tackles for loss, 21 quarterback hurries and 15.5 sacks last season.

    Deven Robertson, Oak Grove: Robertson holds offers from LSU, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Miami and Texas A&M.

    Ben'Jarvius Shumaker, Choctaw County: Shumaker had 53 total tackles, including 16 solo, and five sacks last season. He has offers from Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Florida State and Louisiana Monroe.

    London Simmons, Hartfield Academy: The Alabama commit is the No. 16 recruit in Mississippi and helped Hartfield Academy to the MAIS Class 6A state championship a year ago.

    Aidan Taylor, Hancock: Taylor tallied 35 tackles for loss and 11 sacks last season for Hancock.

    Reginald Vaughn, Hartfield Academy: Vaughn , the No. 14 recruit in Mississippi and a recent Arkansas commit, helped Hartfield Academy to the MAIS Class 6A state championship.

    Tyshun Willis, Velma Jackson: Willis , a Mississippi State commit, helped to lead Velma Jackson to the MHSAA Class 1A state final game. In 2023, had 15 quarterback hurries and 20.5 sacks, which was third in MHSAA.

    Donalvin Wilson, Water Valley: Wilson produced 108 tackles, 30 tackles for loss, 10 sacks and three forced fumbles last season.
