    Defiance County grand jury returns indictments against 14 persons

    A Defiance County grand jury has returned indictments against 14 persons, according to Prosecutor Morris Murray’s office.

    Indicted were:

    • Cameron Andonian, 25, 802 Holgate Ave.; and George Adkins, 35, 1445 Terrawenda Dr., each for burglary, a second-degree felony; grand theft when the property is a firearm or dangerous ordnance, a third-degree felony; and theft, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on Dec. 20, 2022, Andonian and Adkins participated in trespassing in a residence on Ginter Road. Property and cash valued at over $3,000 was stolen from the residence. Authorities further allege that one of the items stolen from the residence was a firearm.

    • Dustin Jones, 30, 878 Circle Drive, for failure to comply with an order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony. Authorities allege that on Jan. 16, he fled from a traffic stop on Ohio 18 in Sherwood. During a pursuit that lasted approximately eight minutes, he allegedly created a substantial risk of serious physical harm to persons or property in the area while fleeing from police at speeds exceeding 100 mph until he entered a field and was able to elude officers.

    • Benjamin Zeitz, 42, 323 Aspen Terrace Drive, for domestic violence, a third-degree felony; strangulation, a fourth-degree felony; and strangulation, a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on Jan. 20 at his residence, he caused or attempted to cause, physical harm to a family or household member, having had two prior domestic violence convictions, and that during the aforementioned incident, Zeitz he caused, or created, a substantial risk of physical harm to a family or household member by means of strangulation or suffocation.

    • Jamey Davis, 47, Oakwood, for having weapons while under disability, a third-degree felony; aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine); and possession of cocaine, each a fifth-degree felony. Authorities allege that on Jan. 22 on Biede Avenue Davis was found in possession of a firearm, which he is prohibited from possessing due to a prior felony drug offense conviction.

    • Kyle Blackston, 35, 620 Sierra Way, for strangulation, a fifth-degree felony, and assault, a first-degree misdemeanor. Authorities allege that on Feb. 4 at his residence he caused, or created, a substantial risk of physical harm to another by means of strangulation or suffocation, and he also caused, or attempted to cause, physical harm to the aforementioned victim.

    • Christina Burk, 34, Cecil, for aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony.

    • Keith Curran, 42, 1792 Dakota Place, for aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony.

    • Bobby Hunt, 41, 1380 Ayersville Ave., for possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony.

    • Yolanda Jones, 30, Indianapolis, for improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fifth-degree felony, and OVI (marijuana), a first-degree misdemeanor.

    • Allena Moreno, 25, Montpelier, for possession of a fentanyl-related compound, a fifth-degree felony; and OVI (methamphetamine), a first-degree misdemeanor.

    • Danielle Nash-Kleinhenn, 39, Continental, for aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony; and failure to appear as required by recognizance, a fourth-degree felony. She allegedly failed to appear in Defiance County Common Pleas Court for a hearing after having been released on a personal-recognizance bond.

    • George Salazar Jr., 31, 23987 Ohio 66, for two counts of aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), each a fifth-degree felony.

    • Angela Walters-Brewer, 49, 80 Lakeview Drive, for aggravated possession of drugs (methamphetamine), a fifth-degree felony; and two counts of endangering children, each a first-degree misdemeanor.
