Summer Concert Series sounds off Friday night

The 2024 Brookhaven Summer Concert Series sounds off on the Railroad Park Stage Friday night 7-9 p.m.

Aa’Keela & The Beats, which was also the first performer in the 2023 Fall Concert Series, will be the free series’ first entertainer. This multiple-member Meridian-based group is an energetic cover band of a blend of genres — funk, soul, jazz, rock, gospel, and rhythm & blues.

Beginning at 5 p.m., a local retailer pop-up and bounce houses will be open until dark along South Whitworth Avenue adjacent to Railroad Park. Several local boutiques and coffee shops will set up and sell inventory.

The Exchange Club train will also be present to offer free rides to the public.

The next Summer Concert Series nights are June 14 with The Bridge Band and July 19 with The Lincoln Outfit.
