Nine businesses ace health inspections

BROOKHAVEN — Mississippi Department of Health reports nine businesses passed health inspections at the end of August. Seven of those businesses were restaurants or fast food and two were nursing home facilities.

Silver Cross Nursing Home, located at 503 Silver Cross Drive, earned an “A” rating for the 19th straight time since 2013.

Krystal, located at 1206 Brookway Boulevard, earned an “A” rating for the 12th straight time since 2019. The fast food joint has earned 17 “A” ratings and one “B” rating since 2016.

Subway, located at 717 US 51 North, earned an “A” rating for the 17th straight time since 2016.

BKwik #12 earned an “A” rating. Located at 23 East Lincoln Drive NE, the gas station earned an “A” rating for the seventh straight time since 2021. Since 2016, the BKwik location has earned 13 “A” ratings and four “B” ratings.

Knight’s Deer Processing, located at 1210 Nola Road NE, earned an “A” rating for the 14th straight time since 2018.

Tropical Smoothie Cafe, located at 981 Brookway Boulevard, earned an “A” rating for the fourth straight time since 2023. It earned one “B” rating in 2022 and one other “A” rating in 2022.

Chickncoop earned an “A” rating. Located at 726 S First Street, it is the fifth “A” rating since 2022.

The Old Koke Plant, located at 620 US 51 S, earned an “A” rating for the fifth straight time since 2022.

Lincoln Residential Center, located at 524 Brookman Drive, earned an “A” rating for the first time.
