A Cumberland County man was arrested Friday morning on allegations he concealed the death of a missing man whose body was found by a jogger in 2022.

Albert Seaberry Jr., 54, is charged with concealing the death of Robert Fortner, 46, of Stedman, who was reported missing Jan. 18, 2022.

The charging document alleges that Seaberry "did fail to notify law enforcement of the death of Robert Fortner and dispose of Robert Fortner's remains after knowing or having reason to know the body or remains are of a person that did not die of natural causes."

The date of the concealment is listed as Jan. 17, 2022.

Two months later, Fortner's remains were found by a jogger on March 17, 2022, in the woods in the 2400 block of Clark West Road near Evans Dairy Road.

Seaberry, who is serving a prison stint for violating probation for a May 2022 drug conviction, was brought to Cumberland County on Friday morning to be served with the warrant in Fortner's death, records show.
