Every time we’ve visited Panchos Antojitos, a counter-service spot with a few tables on the Upper West Side, we’ve encountered people who rush in looking flustered, order a carne asada burrito or a chicken torta, and walk out with a smile on their face. We’re coining them the “I can’t believe I forgot to buy groceries and now it’s 8pm” customers. But these people have good instincts, because Panchos Antojitos is extremely reliable, has warm, chewy flour tortillas, their meats are well-seasoned, and food comes out fast. So whether you’re grabbing Panchos to fuel up for a trip back to the library, or just heading home after a long day at work, the spot is fast, reliable, and satisfying.

    Burrito

Definitely ask for salsa verde with your burrito, no matter the meat you choose. These big-boy burritos cost $14, but they’re massive, filled with rice and beans, and served with a salad. https://img.particlenews.com/image.php?url=3xKPes_0vKhhJlP00

    Torta

We’d recommend these for the Oaxaca cheese alone. It’s gooey, it’s stretchy, it’s creamy, and it perfectly blankets whatever meat you go for (we like al pastor, with little chunks of grilled pineapple).
