    Staff report

God Factor Ministries will be hosting its first event since the passing of its founder, Larry Z. Medcalf, in 2022.
The Providential Event will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Tri-State Worship Center, 901 Solida Rd., South Point.
Pastor Tony Mays of Brighter Day Ministry will be our guest speaker, followed by a Praise Fest/Concert with guests Dox’A Praise Dance Ministry and the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Male Chorus. The event is open to the public
Medcalf had been in ministry, serving in several positions within the church most of his life and had a firsthand look at the division and disconnect that existed among the Christian community.
In 2011, while recovering from open-heart surgery, God would reveal to him why and entrusted him with the vision to advocate and promote genuine unity in the body of Christ. In 2012, the God Factor Ministries was birthed with the mission to bring the Body of Christ together, according to the scriptures to break the barriers of race, gender, religious denomination, and all other things that hindered people from truly worship Christ together.
The God Factor Ministries has traveled all over the United States and been blessed to even have international support and participation from New Mexico, and the Philippines.
Pastors, ministers, businesses, physicians, and lay people from near and far have partnered with the ministry over the last 12 years to help carry out the vision.
In December of 2022, Medcalf passed away unexpectedly.
“The vision of the God Factor Ministries to promote Genuine Unity in the Body of Christ will continue because it is necessary for the Body of Christ to function as it was intended,” Medcalf’s wife, Stacy Murray-Medcalf, shared. “God entrusted Larry to be a part of a mission that is charged to all who profess Jesus the Christ as their Lord and Savior.”
Murray-Medcalf said they are blessed to have spiritual advisors, Bishop Terry Wagner and Rev. Stanley McDonald, as well as others, who have been a vital part of the ministry for several years and continue to assist in the work of the ministry.
The ministry continues to support local churches, pastors, and ministries, as well as their outreach ministry, R.A.M.P. (Reaching Across Many Platforms) that provides a variety of services to the community.
In 2020, Medcalf started a weekly Facebook Live broadcast during the pandemic, Monday Night Live, which continues to air.
