A suspected stalker of the pop superstar Taylor Swift has been arrested in Germany after allegedly sending threats against the singer and boyfriend Travis Kelce .
The detainment of an unnamed 34-year-old man took place in Gelsenkirchen, where the chart-topper played three shows on Wednesday, July 17; Thursday, July 18; and Friday, July 19. The suspect was due to attend the show on Wednesday at Veltins-Arena but was stopped during checks at the stadium.
According to AP , an investigation from the authorities could not rule out an "immediate risk" to both Swift and partner Kelce following the purported threats. As a result of "tips" which came via the organizers of the concerts, the man was arrested and remained in custody during the duration of the singer's stop in Gelsenkirchen.

Police in the city later confirmed that Swift's shows went by without incident, with the inhabitants welcoming the American superstar over the course of the three nights. Gelsenkirchen was even re-named while the "Anti Hero" hitmaker was in town, going by "Swiftkirchen" for the duration of the festivities.
Meanwhile, the city also honored Swift on its own "Walk of Fame" as they recognized the singer's presence in the region in a unique style. Following on from her trio of performances at Veltins-Arena - home of soccer club Schalke 04 - she is due to play the German cities of Hamburg and Munich.
In attendance at two out of the three Gelsenkirchen shows was Kansas City Chiefs tight end Kelce, who continued his own tour of Europe and beyond in support of his girlfriend. Attending his beau's first two performances in the city, he also was present at her shows in Buenos Aires, Sydney, Singapore, Paris, London, Dublin and Amsterdam before now.

His attention will now turn to his own commitments back in Missouri after starting preparations for the upcoming NFL campaign following enjoying a memorable off-season. After traversing the continents since February, Kelce is back at Chiefs training camp as the season fast approaches.
Previously, Swift spoke in glowing terms about the support she has received from her boyfriend since they first went public with their romance back in September. The singer has also been a regular attendee at Chiefs games during their relationship, even watching on during the Super Bowl earlier in the year.
She told Time : "When you say a relationship is public, that means I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other. Other people are there and we don’t care. The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other."
