Two concerts set for Blackmon this weekend

The Surry Arts Council Summer Concert Series will feature two concerts at the Blackmon Amphitheatre this week.

The Holiday Band will kick off the musical weekend with a show on Friday evening show, with the concert slated to begin at 7:30 p.m.

The next night, on Saturday, The Rick Strickland Band is scheduled to be in concert beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Costs for the concerts are $17, or a concert series summer pass. Those attending the shows are encouraged to take a lounge chair or blanket. Coolers and outside drink are not permitted. Concessions will be on sale. To purchase tickets or a summer pass, call 336-786-7998.
