GIBSONBURG - The 4th Annual Old Timey Days was held at Williams Park in Gibsonburg on May 18 to 19. The event featured living historians reenacting eras from medieval times through World War II.

Event-goers were able to experience what it was like long ago with many activities such as playing revolution war-era board games, operating a ringer and wash tub, a children’s corner with activities for the little ones to participate in, and watching the 5th Ohio Volunteer light artillery perform hourly civil war-era cannon firings. Many photographs and artifacts from the history of Gibsonburg were on display.

The event is hosted by the Gibsonburg Historical Society, with aid from the Gibsonburg village administration. Twenty-five re-enactors and volunteers participated in this year’s event, which functions strictly on donations from the public and contributions from the Village of Gibsonburg and its historic society.
