Corinth shooting suspect captured in Amory

AMORY – After spending nearly a week on the lam, the suspect in an Alcorn County shooting that sent a man to the hospital was captured in Monroe County on Wednesday.

Amory police searched the west side of their city on Aug. 14 for a subject with multiple active arrest warrants. An officer spotted a male who resembled the suspect at an apartment complex near 111th Street. When the officer approached and attempted to detain the man, the woman driving the car pulled away.
