Pet parades have hit the streets of Eugene many times over the years.

During the 50s and 60s, it was called the Emerald Empire Pet Parade. The Register-Guard and radio station KERG sponsored prizes for many years.

The Eugene Active 20-30 Club often volunteered to direct parade participants along the route.

The pet parade made a comeback in 2023 with the Greenhill Pet Parade at Market Fest downtown.

Here is a selection of photos taken at the parades from 1958, 1967, 1972 and 2023.
