    Middle school track: RCS runs strong in Greeneville

    GREENEVILLE — Rogersville City School’s track and field teams competed at Greeneville Middle School on Thursday, March 28. The boys team finished third, while the girls finished fourth.

    Here are the top individual and relay performances for RCS.

    BOYS

    Aaron Munsey-Cooke won the shot put with a throw of 37-5 and finished 10th in discus (68-01).Brayden Brown won the 400 with a time of 58.95 and the 1600 with a time of 5:35.25.Zander Harris won the 800 with a time of 2:33.60 and finished third in the 1600 with a time of 5:45.20.The RCS 4x400 relay of Evan Laster, Brayden Brown, Chance Pearson and Zander Harris won with a time of 4:22.54.Evan Laster finished second in the 110 hurdles with a time of 18.74.The RCS 4x200 relay of Evan Laster, Keithan Wheeler, Baylor Hancock and Chance Pearson finished third (1:57.32)The RCS 4x100 finished seventh (1:05.52).

    GIRLS

    The 4x400 relay of Rylee Sivert, Harlen Hayes, Lilla Harrell and Kenady Deal won with a time of 4:44.35.Emma Stipes won the discus with a throw of 75-07 and won shot put with a mark of 33-03.Kenady Deal finished second in the 400 with a time of 1:07.78.Lilla Harrell finished third in the 800 with a time of 2:45.31.Elin Bryan finished third in the 1600 with a time of 6:33.31.The RCS 4x200 relay of Riley Newman, Harlen Hayes, Karlie Gray and Madison Miller finished third with a time of 2:08.63.Harlen Hayes finished fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:12.73.The RCS 4x100 relay finished fifth (1:07.67).Rylee Sivert finished ninth in the 100 (16.44).Madison Miller finished seventh in the 400 (1:16.46).Karlie Gray finished eighth in the 400 (1:17.11).Dienarra Mancucci tied for eighth in discus (43-04).

    Panthers compete in Greeneville

    GREENEVILLE — Church Hill Middle School’s track and field teams competed at Greeneville Middle School on Thursday, March 28.

    Here are the top individual and relay performances for the Panthers.

    BOYS

    Bryson Christian won the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.99 and the 200 with a time of 24.37.Conner Begley finished second in the 400 (1:00.58) and ninth in the 200 (28.48).The CHMS 4x100 relay finished second with a time of 51.45.Jansen Arnold finished third in the 400 (1:00.86) and seventh in long jump (15-02.50).Gage Singleton finished ninth in shot put (26-06).Elijah Keene finished 10th in shot put (26-04).

    GIRLS

    The CHMS 4x100 relay finished second with a time of 1:03.48.Willow Ingram finished fourth in the 200 with a time of 30.91 and fourth in long jump (13-04).Kylee Capson finished third in long jump (13-07) and seventh in the 200 (31.57).

    RMS competes at Liberty Bell

    JOHNSON CITY — The Rogersville Middle School track and field teams competed in their second meet on March 23 at Liberty Bell Middle School.

    Here are the top individual and relay performances for the Warriors.

    BOYS

    Travis Wade won the 1600 with a time of 5:48.78 and finished second in the 800 with a time of 2:30.39.William Ely won the 110 hurdles with a time of 19.88.The RMS 4x100 relay finished second with a time of 54.77.The RMS 4x200 relay finished third with a time of 1:57.42.The RMS 4x400 relay finished third with a time of 5:00.27.CJ Spiller finished fourth in the 400 with a time of 1:05.68.Justin Bradley finished fourth in the 110 hurdles with a time of 21.16.Jacob Browning finished fourth in the long jump with a mark of 11-09.Zachary Phillips finished fifth in discus (61-09).Landon Rimer finished eighth in the 100 (14.43).

    GIRLS

    Jessabella Allen won the 1600 with a time of 6:30.35 and was seventh in the 800 (2:52.20).The RMS 4x100 relay finished fourth (1:03.33).The RMS 4x200 relay finished fifth (2:16.72).Sarah Ward finished sixth in the 400 (1:11.23).Lily Otto finished sixth in the 100 hurdles (20.45).Stephanie Campbell finished seventh in the shot put (20-04.50).
