BLOUNTVILLE — Eight teams, including both Cherokee and Volunteer, gathered at West Ridge High School on Monday, April 1, for the boys’ volleyball jamboree.

The event ushers in the 2024 season for the high school boys’ club teams.

The Falcons and Chiefs, along with teams from Tennessee High, Lakeway Christian, David Crockett, Dobyns-Bennett, Science Hill and West Ridge compete in league play during the spring season. However, boys’ volleyball is not yet a sanctioned TSSAA sport.

Volunteer battled Science Hill, D-B and Crockett during the jamboree, defeating Crockett 25-19 for its first win. Cherokee lost all three of its jamboree matches.
