NEW BEDFORD — The Whaling City may be known for its charming seaside city vibes and delicious food, but it also has several hot spots for breakfast. With so many options to choose from, it can be hard to decide where to go for your morning meal.

Breakfast is considered the most important meal of the day. Not only does eating a good breakfast give you the energy you need to tackle the day, it kickstarts your metabolism and can put you in a better mood, according to this USAToday article.

Did you know that the word "breakfast" comes from the concept of "breaking" your overnight "fast"? It makes perfect sense, as we skip eating while we sleep.
