Field of flags at Idlewild park

About 40 people helped raise hundreds of American flags at Idlewild Park and the Talbot Community Center on Wednesday.

The Flags For Heroes displays have been a tradition since 2012, a community service project of the Rotary Club of Easton.

The flag displays are sponsored by companies and individuals. Proceeds benefit local heroes’ requests and the Youth and Community Fund.

Sponsorships are still available. To donate, go to flagsforheroes.org. The Star Democrat will print the names of sponsors and their heroes on Flag Day, June 14.
