    The summer of 2020 shone a light on many issues, including racial disparities and environmental concerns. To combat these issues, companies adopted diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and environmental, social and governance (ESG) programs.

    Four years later, corporate American is walking back these promises.

    Tractor Supply Co. and BlackRock are only some of the companies facing public outcry against DEI and ESG programs. Throughout Tennessee and the nation as a whole, there has been a notable drop in social-change initiatives in corporate business models.
