A UNITED Airlines flight from San Francisco to Rome was diverted for the second day in a row.

Yesterday’s flight to Italy was forced to land in Edmonton, Canada – over 5,000 miles from its intended destination.

United Airlines flight 507 took off around 4:30 pm from San Francisco on Wednesday, according to NBC affiliate KCRA 3 .

The company informed The U.S. Sun that the flight was diverted to “address a passenger medical issue.”

According to flight tracking information, the plane turned around when it was over a northern province of Canada, near Hudson Bay.

There were 265 passengers and 14 crew present on the flight, the airline said.

This comes just one day after another United Airlines plane with the same flight number was forced to make an emergency landing on Tuesday.

The plane landed in Sacramento to address a mechanical issue.

The flights on Tuesday and Wednesday were on different planes, but both were Boeing 777 jets.

It is not yet clear if any of the passengers from Tuesday’s flight to Rome were also on yesterday’s diverted flight.

NBC affiliate KCRA 3 reached out to the airline for more information on the events.

    FLIGHT DISRUPTIONS

This is not the first time United Airlines has had troublesome flights.

A flight from Miami, Florida to Newark, New Jersey in July was forced to land early in Orlando due to a particularly disruptive passenger .

Flight attendants had to restrain the hostile woman with zip ties due to her aggressive behavior.

She then proceeded to bite an attendant’s shoulder, ripping the fabric on their uniform.

Another United Airlines flight had to make an emergency landing at an airport in Upstate New York in March after experiencing extreme turbulence .

Twenty-two people were reportedly injured in the incident and seven were taken to hospital .

    Recent Plane Crashes

This bumpy flight landing isn't the only troubling incident involving aircrafts in recent weeks

    • A plane crash at Sundance Airport in Oklahoma City earlier this month left all four aboard the flight dead
    • Shocking footage shows a passenger aircraft in Brazil spiraling to the Earth, killing 61 people on board
    • A plane also recently crashed onto a golf course and pro shop, narrowly missing a nearby golfer

The aircraft reportedly encountered high winds on its approach to Newark Liberty International Airport and had to abort its landing.

Another United Airlines flight in April had no choice but to divert its course after a dog had an unfortunate poo incident in the aisle .

The flight from Houston, Texas to Seattle, Washington made an early landing in Dallas.

Flyers took to Reddit to complain about the unpleasant smell.

“Dog had a messy accident in the aisle right in first class,” one person said.

“Ground crew spent over 2 hours cleaning carpets with paper towels.”

“Smell made me ill. Gate agents kept yelling at passengers and the cabin crew,” they wrote.
