MLB star’s daughter Brenna Swindell found and ex-boyfriend arrested a week after she met with cops – then vanished

A MOM-of-three and daughter of a former Major League Baseball star has been found after her disappearance sparked a three-day search.

Before she was located, Brenna Swindell, 29, was last seen on August 22 at a bar in Austin, Texas , with her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Guidry.

Her family was frantic when they realized her phone was shut off and they couldn’t contact her.

After days of working with the Austin Police Department, her father, MLB star Gary Swindell, posted that his daughter was found.

“She has been found. That’s all for now,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday morning.

“Thanks to EVERYONE who got involved. Sarah Swindell and I and our family and extended family thank you.”

Users flooded his post’s comments expressing their gratitude for the good news.

She was found around 1 am on the morning of August 27, cops said.

Police in Klamath Falls, Oregon — about five hours south of Portland — spotted her car and pulled it over.

Both Brenna and Morgan were found in the car.

Morgan was arrested on the Travis County Sheriff’s Office warrant and is currently in custody.

Police confirmed Brenna “is alive and well.”

“This is the news we were desperately hoping and praying for. I’m relieved that Brenna has been found and is safe,” Sheriff Sally Hernandez said.

“I’m so grateful to everyone who contributed their efforts to finding her, across the Travis County area and outside the state of Texas.”

During the search, Guidry Sr. shared notes his son left right before Brenna and Morgan went missing .

Brenna Swindell was last seen at Poodies Hilltop Roadhouse in Spicewood, Texas — 32 miles northwest of Austin — on August 22.

Her family believed she was with her ex-boyfriend Morgan Guidry.

Their phones were shut off and Brenna’s white Kia Carnival also had its GPS off. However, it turned back on and the car was tracked to Colorado on Friday.

Brenna’s father, Greg Swindell, a former MLB player, was heavily involved in the search for his daughter.

While searching for Brenna, Morgan’s father, Morgan Guidry Sr. shared eerie notes that his son left behind right before the pair went missing.

On Tuesday morning, Greg revealed that his daughter had been found.

“I went back to spend one last night with her,” one note read, according to ABC affiliate KVUE .

“Off to travel the world heart Morgan + Brenna, see you on the other side,” read another.

Though the notes were eerie, Guidry Sr. wasn’t convinced the situation was distressing.

The father said he “loves and misses” his son, per KVUE.

VIOLENT HISTORY

Morgan was wanted in connection to an assault on July 7, 2024, per court documents reviewed by KVUE.

He was accused of strangling his girlfriend multiple times and slamming her head on the ground.

The Travis County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to KVUE that the victim in the documents was Brenna and there is a warrant out for Morgan’s arrest.

During the altercation, Brenna allegedly ran for the door to escape but tripped over by a box of ammunition.

Morgan wasn’t at the home when police arrived, but loose ammunition was found.

After the alleged altercation, a Family Violence Detective investigated and began to work closely with Brenna, per cops.

On August 20, 2024, Swindell told the detective she was ready to press charges against Morgan.

The detective filed a warrant for a 3rd-degree felony against Morgan, police said.

Both Greg and her mother Sarah posted about Morgan’s violent past and stressed she was in danger.

“Her boyfriend is in trouble with law from when he assaulted her last month and we don’t know if she went with him willingly, was talked into running away with him, or what,” Brenna’s mother wrote in a post .

“I still feel she would never abandon her 3 children or just take off without explanation.

“So until we can prove otherwise, we feel she is in danger.”

THE SEARCH

Brenna and Morgan were last seen at the Poodies Hilltop Roadhouse in Spicewood, Texas, about 32 miles northwest of Austin , on August 22.

After being unable to contact her, Brenna’s family reported her missing to the police.

Her white Kia Carnival with Texas plates reading VFS7528 was also missing with its GPS turned off.

However, when it turned back on, the car was reportedly traced to a Colorado interstate on Friday evening, per a post from Brenna’s mom.
