On Tuesday’s episode of Up & Adams, Adams shared that she thinks Watt will make a return to the league after taking a year off.

“This offseason we talked to three people very close to JJ Watt,” Adams said.

“I’m confident in saying that JJ Watt will come out of retirement, that’s right, and play for the Texans.

“I’m telling you, we talked to his brother TJ Watt, we talked to long ago, Texans GM Nick Caserio early in the offseason, and Texans head coach DeMeco Ryans.”

Coaches and executives with the Texans have left the door open for Watt to return to the team if he chooses.

Caserio spoke to Adams this offseason and “we’ll see” regarding a potential comeback.

“I think JJ’s got enough going on right now,” he said.

“Once the season starts, I think that’s when the competitive juices get going.

“DeMeco has an open door policy for JJ, so we’ll see how it goes.”

Watt has even said himself that he would come out of retirement for the Texans if they needed him.

“I told DeMeco last year, ‘Don’t call unless you absolutely need it, but, if you ever do call, I’ll be there,'” Watt said.

“And he knows not to call unless he absolutely needs it. This is the last year I’ll tell him that, because I’m not going to keep training [the way] I’ve been training.”

Adams also spoke to Ryans, who shared that he always wants Watt to come back to the team.

“JJ knows, anytime he’s ready I’m ready,” he said.
