‘That is such lies,’ Stephen A. Smith tells Mad Dog Russo after ESPN analyst makes wild CeeDee Lamb claim live on air

STEPHEN A. Smith had none of it when Chris “Mad Dog” Russo tried to take a victory lap after Dallas Cowboys star CeeDee Lamb finally got paid.

Mad Dog claimed he was the only First Take panelist to insist that Lamb , who signed a new four-year, $136 million deal with Dallas , would get the extension he wanted before the 2024 season kick-off.

Russo , 64, made the claim in a segment on whether the Cowboys should hand quarterback Dak Prescott a new contract next during Wednesday’s First Take.

But before he started talking about Prescott, the sportscaster couldn’t help but circle back to Lamb.

“We spent hours and hours and hours [talking] about CeeDee Lamb,” Mad Dog said.

“And what did your little favorite host always say?

“‘I guarantee it, by Week 1, he’ll be playing in Cleveland – for the Cowboys.'”

Smith , 56, fired back immediately, asking Russo if he really thought he was the only one to predict Lamb’s extension.

And when Mad Dog insisted, Stephen A. said with a sarcastic smile, “Such lies.”

Host Molly Qerim then got out of her seat, approached Russo, and gave him a pat on the back.

“Is that what you wanted?” she asked.

Mad Dog finally added that he wouldn’t sign Prescott to a new deal this offseason – and only pay him if he plays well during the 2024 campaign.

“Let him sing for his supper,” Russo said.

Lamb held out of training camp and the preseason as contract extension talks with the Cowboys dragged on.

But the All-Pro wideout insisted he was in game shape after signing the deal, just over a week before the 2024 campaign’s start.

The Oklahoma product said he was “ready to go to battle,” emphasizing his desire to reclaim his leading role on the Dallas offense.
