ESPN execs have revealed how their coverage will shape up ahead of the season opener.

Mike Greenberg hosts Get Up! at 8am ET and will be joined by several analysts to discuss the day’s events.

First Take follows two hours later, with Stephen A. Smith and Molly Qerim set to oversee plenty of spirited debate.

The Pat McAfee Show is scheduled at 12pm, with a one-hour SportsCenter slot following at 2pm.

First Take and The Pat McAfee Show are the jewels in ESPN’s weekday crown and will maintain those slots Monday through Friday during the season.

The NBA gets a brief look-in until NFL Live takes over at 4pm and sportswriters discuss the latest news on Around the Horn at 5pm.

Pardon the Interruption takes a more opinionated take at 5.30pm, with SportsCenter returning 30 minutes later.

Live tennis from the US Open takes center stage until SportsCenter with Scott Van Pelt begins at 11pm to close out the schedule.

Earlier this week, former ESPN analyst Robert Griffin III opened up about his shock firing by the network.

The ex- Washington star was sensationally dumped along with Sam Ponder just weeks before the new NFL season.

Griffin III, 34, signed a multi-year contract with ESPN in 2021 and was a regular on Monday Night Countdown .

ESPN announced last month the former quarterback had been replaced by recently retired ex- Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce on the show.

And on August 15, he was unexpectedly fired from his role at the sports network.

“I love football, but I loved the experience I had at ESPN more than anything,” Griffin told The Jim Rome Show on Monday.

    'It was a short retirement!'

Jason Kelce didn't stay retired in the NFL for long.

The former Philadelphia Eagles lineman called it quits after the 2023 season.

But he will be part of ESPN’s coverage on Monday Night Football in 2024.

Kelce will appear on Monday Night Countdown from 6pm-8pm ET every week as well as during the halftime show.

“Turns out, it was a short retirement!” he joked.

“ESPN was a consistent presence in our household growing up and the network helped shape who I am and my love of all sports.

“To now appear on that same screen is a full circle moment.

“And, I mean it’s freaking Monday Night Football! and I’m ready for some football.”

“Getting the opportunity to be on Monday Night Countdown with the legendary broadcast crew of Suzy Kolber, Steve Young, Booger McFarland, and Adam Schefter was a dream come true.

“Then, to be part of the revamping of it with Scott Van Pelt, Ryan Clark, and Marcus Spears, I just truly enjoyed those experiences.”

Griffin III will continue presenting his podcast RG3 and The Ones on YouTube .

He remains confident that he’ll find a new analyst role in the near future.

“I’ll miss the people there that I got a chance to work with and I wish them the best moving forward,” Griffin continued.

“For me, and what the future holds, it’s just whatever God has in store for me.

“I’m just going to keep walking by faith and not by sight and continue to just cover the game the way I know how to cover it, with the excitement and the enthusiasm.

“That is just me being my true, authentic self. There is no act here. I’m just always gonna be that guy.”
