PEYTON Manning wasn’t afraid to admit he didn’t have certain abilities that his nephew and college football star Arch has shown to the world.

The NFL Hall of Famer, 48, also shared his astonishment at the Texas Longhorns quarterback’s dance celebration.

Manning appeared on The Pat McAfee Show on Friday as the program discussed numerous topics.

Among the topics concerned Arch, who is playing his second season as the backup signal-caller for the Longhorns.

Arch displayed his talent during his limited opportunity in Week 1 for Texas when the school claimed the 52-0 victory over Colorado State.

He entered the third quarter when the Longhorns held a 38-0 lead.

Arch threw for a touchdown on 95 yards while also rushing it for a score.

The Indianapolis Colts legend Peyton was asked about Arch’s running abilities – and he admitted that those particular skills didn’t rub off on him.

“My dad’s speed and athletic ability skipped a generation and went to (Arch),” he said. “It did not come to me and Eli.

“He can run. He can move.

Manning then spoke about Arch’s dancing celebration after the touchdown.

“And that celebration on the sideline, I have no clue when it comes to that.

Peyton was also asked about Arch’s situation in Texas as the 19-year-old is sitting behind the junior Quinn Ewers.

The two-time Super Bowl champion opened up on Arch’s decision to play for the Longhorns and head coach Steve Sarkisian.

“I’m proud of Arch,” Manning said.

“I’m proud of him. Like you said, most kids probably wouldn’t have stayed in that situation.

“He went to Texas because he wanted to play at Texas.

“He wanted to go to college there.

“He wanted to play for Sark.

“Those are the right reasons you should choose a college.”

The Longhorns will take on the defending CFP champion Michigan Wolverines in a Week 2 matchup on Saturday.
