The summer season wouldn’t be complete without the San Francisco Shakespeare Festival’s Free Shakespeare in the Park , where “no Shakespeare experience [is] required.” The Tempest is on the bill this year, a play ultimately about forgiveness with themes of familial jealousy, betrayal, and love, sprinkled with magic, a storm, and a shipwreck with Shakespeare’s clowns. 2 p.m. through Sunday, McClaren Park. Free admission.
