This Wichita ZIP code made the top 50 for fastest-selling homes in the United States

Realtor.com released its list of the 50 hottest ZIP codes in the United States for 2024, and one Wichita ZIP code made the list.

Wichita’s 67212 area ranked 25th on the list, ranking right below a ZIP code in Southington, Connecticut, and right above a ZIP code in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Realtor.com compiled the ranking by looking at market demand and pace of each market, which is decided by the number of days a listing stays active on Realtor.com.

“The hottest areas are those that have high demand from buyers, in other words, lots of unique viewers per each property, and fast-selling homes, an indicator of limited supply,” Realtor.com says on its website.

Wichita’s 67212 area includes both the Sedgwick County Zoo and the Sedgwick County Park. Realtor.com currently has listed 96 houses for sale in that area on the market.

According to Zillow, the median home value for 67212 sits at $234,112 , up 4.4% from the last year. The median number of days for a home to be pending sits at four, Zillow says.

Realtor.com reports that the median home listing price for that ZIP code is currently $255,000 , which is $121 per square feet.
