Reedsport clinched a spot in the Class 2A-1A baseball playoffs by winning the District 4 title with three victories last week.

The Brave improved to 13-0 in league play by beating Myrtle Point 2-0, Waldport 17-0 and Gold Beach 14-2. Reedsport hosts Toledo on Tuesday to finish the league season and then will wait to learn its opponent in the first round of the playoffs.

Bandon is second in the standings at 9-3 despite a 6-1 loss to Toledo last week. The Tigers beat Waldport 4-2 and shut out Myrtle Point 5-0 and will secure second place with wins in either of their last two league games, at home against Gold Beach on Monday (results were not available) or Siletz Valley on Tuesday. Bandon also hosts Brookings-Harbor in a nonleague game Thursday.

The league gets three automatic playoff spots and three other teams still are in the running for that third spot.

Toledo is 8-5 after shutting out Siletz Valley 10-0, but has the difficult game at Reedsport still to go.

Waldport and Myrtle Point, meanwhile, are 7-6 and finish the league season against each other in Waldport on Tuesday, the winner hoping to tie Toledo for third place. Waldport lost to Bandon, Reedsport and Toledo (6-2) last week. Myrtle Point lost to Reedsport and Bandon but beat Eddyville 13-1.

SKY-EM LEAGUE: North Bend wrapped up third place in the Sky-Em League standings and a home game in the Class 4A play-in round by sweeping Cottage Grove 12-2 and 11-1 to finish the league season.

The Bulldogs, who were No. 9 in the power rankings, still have a shot at hosting a playoff game in the round of 16 if they win their play-in game.

Marshfield, meanwhile, also will be in the play-in round based on its power ranking and will have a chance to win a game to get into the round of 16. Play-in pairings will be announced this week.

North Bend and Marshfield played a nonleague game Friday in Coos Bay so the Pirates could have a senior night to celebrate their graduating players. The Bulldogs won 16-4.

FAR WEST LEAGUE: Coquille split a doubleheader with Glide, winning 5-2 and losing 4-3, and was swept by North Valley 11-1 and 11-0 in another league doubleheader.

The Red Devils, 5-13 in league, finished their season with a home doubleheader against Brookings-Harbor on Monday.

CLASS 2A-1A DISTRICT 4: Myrtle Point is up to second place in the league standings after three wins last week.

Toledo is a perfect 11-0 and already has clinched the league title. The Bobcats beat Reedsport 13-3, Eddyville 12-1 and Bandon 15-0 to improve to 8-3, one game in front of Bandon.

Myrtle Point finishes the league season with a road game at Waldport on Tuesday and is guaranteed a top three finish. The league gets three automatic bids to the playoffs.

Bandon beat Waldport 15-3 last week, but lost to Myrtle Point and Toledo (18-5). The Tigers hosted Gold Beach on Monday to finish the league season and have a nonleague game at Brookings-Harbor on Tuesday.

Waldport and Reedsport both are 5-6. Reedsport pulled even with the Irish in the standings by beating both Waldport (10-2) and Gold Beach (20-8) last week. The Brave host Toledo on Tuesday to finish the league season.

FAR WEST LEAGUE: Coquille lost a pair of doubleheaders last week, swept by Glide (14-4 and 18-3) and North Valley (17-6 and 16-5).
