Alabama Mother Smiles in Mugshot After Incident Involving Child's Father

(Alabama)- Melissa Sanders (28) is an Alabama mother who recently found herself in the news because of her irresponsible actions toward her child's father.

According to Alabama news source WKRG, officers responded around 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, 2024, to the 200 block of Green Park Drive to reports of a man being cut by his child's mother (Sanders). He was later taken to a nearby Mobile hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

After gathering additional information from the scene, Sanders was taken into custody and booked on a second-degree domestic assault charge. On August 14, Sanders appeared before a judge and was denied bond for her actions.

Further research into Sanders reveals back in July 2024, she was arrested on multiple charges including assault, domestic violence, theft of property, and credit card fraud.

Sanders' next scheduled court date is September 5.
