    Thurmont fines sober living house for zoning violation; director alleges discrimination

    The town of Thurmont has issued citations on a sober living house for operating improperly in a residential neighborhood — but the people owning the house and living there allege the town is discriminating against them.

    Up and Out Sober Living is a “recovery residence” certified by the Maryland RecoveryNet and provides homes for individuals in recovery for drug or alcohol addictions.
