Rain chances lower Wednesday, higher for the weekend
SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Slightly drier air moves overhead for most of the Suncoast on Wednesday, which brings rain chances down again. The exception to that is northern Manatee County farther north to Tampa. Those are the areas with a chance for an afternoon thunderstorm Wednesday. But there’s plenty of tropical moisture to return, so rain chances are back up to end the week and for the weekend. More of the hot and dry Saharan Air Layer will move over Florida this weekend. That could give us a hazy overcast again and could have some impact on weekend rainfall. Fortunately, it will keep the tropics quiet for several days.
