Canadian Grocery Chain T&T's Coming to San Jose

According to a recent press release, T&T Supermarket Inc., Canada's leading Asian grocery retailer, is set to open its first store in California at Westgate Center in San Jose. The 55,000-square-foot store, located at the intersection of Saratoga Avenue and Prospect Road, will occupy the former Walmart space. The opening is scheduled for Fall 2025.

The press release from T&T's states that this will be T&T’s third store in the United States, following two locations in Washington state. The new San Jose store will offer a variety of Asian products, fresh produce, a full-service meat counter, live seafood tanks, and an in-store bakery.

Special features include a BBQ counter, noodle station, dim sum section, and a made-to-order Chinese crepe station.

The store will also introduce T&T’s signature Private Label products to Californians, offering items like pineapple cakes, Taiwanese sausages, and soup pork dumplings. The opening will create approximately 200 jobs in the local community.
