A juvenile charged with murder for the Nov. 9 shooting of a man whose body was found in a burning car in East Toledo was indicted Thursday.

Kristaun Self, 17, was indicted for murder, aggravated murder, aggravated robbery, and felonious assault, all with firearms specifications. He was also indicted for aggravated arson, arson, tampering with evidence, and abuse of a corpse.

The Self youth was one of two people being sought by police in connection with the Nov. 9 death of Josiah Gill, 20, of Toledo’s Point Place neighborhood.

Toledo firefighters found Mr. Gill’s body in the back seat of a burning car in the grass under Veterans’ Glass City Skyway bridge, near the northbound I-280 exit ramp to Front Street.

Young Self was arrested in Birmingham, Ala., in February and was extradited to Ohio.

A co-defendant, Alexzander Perez, 32, of the 100 block of Western Avenue, is not charged in Mr. Gill’s death but was indicted in February on charges including first-degree aggravated arson, third-degree tampering with evidence and obstructing justice, and fifth-degree abuse of a corpse.
