    Topeka man hospitalized in Leavenworth County rollover crash

    LEAVENWORTH COUNTY ( KSNT ) – The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) reports a Topeka man is in serious condition following a crash in Leavenworth County Monday morning.

    The KHP report in a crash log the crash occurred just after 3 a.m. on Monday, July 1 on I-70 near mile marker 209. A Chevrolet Silverado 1500 was traveling west on I-70 when, for an unknown reason, left the road to the south and entered the grass median.

    The vehicle entered the road again, hitting a sign and delineator post, before overturning multiple times. The driver, identified as a 33-year-old Topeka man, was ejected from the vehicle during the crash.

    The KHP said he was transported to a Kansas hospital for treatment of serious injuries. The man was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
