    4 displaced, pet helped in Torrington fire

    TORRINGTON, Conn. (WTNH) — Four people were displaced, and a pet had to receive oxygen, following a fire late Friday morning in Torrington.

    The fire happened at about 11 a.m. on South Main Street, according to the fire department. Smoke was coming from the first floor, and the fire was quickly put under control.

    A pet in a nearby room was treated for smoke inhalation, according to the fire department. The type of animal has not been specified.

    A cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
