Tracy Dill Steps Down As WCHA's Commissioner

Western Collegiate Hockey Association commissioner tracy Dill has announced he will step down from the role effective June 30.

“I want to express my appreciation to the WCHA Membership for allowing me the opportunity to serve as the league commissioner for the past two years," Dill said in a WCHA news release . "The strength of the WCHA is the outstanding people including the WCHA league staff, student-athletes, coaches, athletic administrators and faculty representatives. I want to thank each of them and wish them nothing but the best for the WCHA."

Dill has served as the WCHA's interim commission the past two seasons. The conference has won each season since 2019 and 21 times in total since 2000.

“We appreciate the steadfast dedication and effort Tracy has committed to our league in providing us with an outstanding level of leadership these past two years. The WCHA has established an operational standard others aspire to attain and Tracy was able to raise the bar even further,” said Minnesota State University Director of Athletics Kevin Busiman said in the WCHA news release.

“He leaves our league even more well-positioned as the leader in collegiate women’s hockey."

The WCHA was well represented at the PWHL Draft this year with 12 players from the league selected.

Prior to joining the WCHA, Dill was the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics at Bemidji State for nine years.

The WCHA said they will begin the search for a replacement immediately.
